The Great Gig in the Sky
Seasonal multi-genre music festivals in the Karakoram range, held at altitudes above 8,000 feet, featuring artists from Gilgit-Baltistan and across Pakistan.
The seasonal music festivals in the Karakoram range were conceived as a way to bring artists from Gilgit-Baltistan and across Pakistan together in one of the most striking natural settings in the world. I directed the project with a focus on both the performances and the lived experience of creating music at high altitude, where the landscape itself becomes part of the story.
The project resulted in three films: Main event highlight Film & two Behind the scenes documentary episodes.
